Hi, My wife and I are planning a trip in Dec over the Christmas period 2025. Our DVC use year is Dec and we plan to book in Jan 2025. Can we borrow our 2026 use year points towards our 2025 holiday with booking so early in 2025? Thanks James

    Hi James,

    Welcome home!

Thank you for reaching out to us here at planDisney! I love getting the opportunity to help fellow UK Disney Vacation Club Members. It sounds like Christmas 2025 is going to be magical (and much warmer than at home!)—nothing beats Christmas at Disney destinations!

I love the flexibility of my Disney Vacation Club Membership. To answer your question: Yes, you can borrow points from your 2026 Use Year towards your Christmas 2025 holiday. Since your Use Year begins in December, any booking made for December 2025 falls within your 2025 Use Year. When you make your reservation during the 11-month booking window (which, in this case, opens in just a few weeks), you can borrow up to 100% of your 2026 points and even combine them with your 2025 points for that trip. Once borrowed, these points will become part of your available points for 2025.

Just a quick reminder: all borrowing transactions are final and cannot be reversed (Even the Genie would struggle to change that!). Borrowed points must be used in the year they are borrowed into and cannot be banked or transferred.

I hope this answers your question, James! If you have any further questions or need help planning your Christmas trip, please don’t hesitate to reach out to planDisney.

    Have a magical day!
    Matt
