Hiya, Melissa!
Thanks for sending your vacation planning question my way! It sounds like your trip is already magical with two first-time Mouseketeers aboard! Traveling with little ones can be tricky, but you'll be creating memories that will last a lifetime (at least for you)! One of the greatest parts of the Walt Disney World Resort is its ability to cater to all ages, even infants. In fact, there are
Baby Care Centers located in each park dedicated to the littlest visitors and their families. In the Baby Care Centers, you'll find many items you may have forgotten, quiet spaces to relax and nursing/pumping stations. These areas are a great place to escape both the heat and stimulation and give your little traveler a chance to unwind!
What is it they say nowadays? "Pictures or it didn't happen?" That is certainly true of a vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth. I have plenty of suggestions to help you bank more core memories.
In Magic Kingdom Park, Guests always love taking pictures with Cinderella Castle. After you grab your straight-on shot, walk over to the side near the entrance to Tomorrowland, where you'll find unobstructed views of the castle just beyond a black fence. In addition, you may want to check out the "Purple Wall" in Tomorrowland. This wall is becoming quite popular with the Instagram crowd and makes for a unique photo.
In Disney's Animal Kingdom, the Tree of Life is a great focal point for any photo. Again, after grabbing a few straight-on shots, head to the left and find quieter, less busy views of the tree. My fellow panelist, Ariane, shares directions to this area in a recent post on the
planDisney Instagram account. I also love stopping by the Moss Wall outside of
Windtraders for a rugged photo in the World of Pandora.
In Disney's Hollywood Studios, you'll likely want a photo on Sunset Boulevard with Tower of Terror in the background. In Toy Story Land, you'll find my favorite low-key location, the "Popsicle Wall" at the exit of Toy Story Mania, as well as a great photo location with a giant Woody, an oversized ball and with the larger-than-life aliens in their saucer. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge boasts photo locations far and wide, from all of the ships to the cargo areas and the Marketplace. You really can't go wrong.
At EPCOT, you'll want to grab a photo in front of Spaceship Earth upon entry. For the Instagram favorite location, head to the exit of the ride and check out the "Bubble Gum Wall." Since you'll be visiting in December, it is likely that the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will be in progress, so you'll find themed decor as you head over to the World Showcase that will be worth a quick stop for a photo.
Melissa, I could go on for days about where to take photos during your visit to Walt Disney World! I hope this is a good start for your list of locations. I do want to mention that
PhotoPass photographers are strategically set up and some of these hot-spot locations to take photos for the whole family. You may even run across "Magic Shot" photo locations where the photographers add a little extra pixie dust to your shot. If you still want more, you can book a
Capture Your Moment Photo Session, a 20-minute mini-shoot with a PhotoPass photographer, capturing your special memory in the location of your choice!
Have a magical day,
Ashley
