Ahoy, Tyrell!
Thanks for cruising by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!
I can totally relate to your dilemma, as I come from a tech-savvy family myself. While we do our best to "disconnect" from technology on our Disney Cruise Line vacations, we each use our smartphones throughout the cruise for photos and to use the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. If you haven't already downloaded the app, you'll want to make sure you do before setting sail. With the app, you'll be able to find information about all the daily happenings on the ship, including
Deck Parties,
Entertainment,
Menus, and
Character Greeting locations. You can save favorite activities to a list, so you won't miss any of your "must-dos"! There's also a cool Onboard Chat function that enables you to chat with family and friends in your sailing party - it even has cute Disney emojis!
It's true that there's not an abundance of power outlets in the staterooms, and guests are not allowed to bring multi-outlet power strips. You are, however, allowed to bring a multi-port USB charger, which is exactly what I do when we go on our Disney Cruise vacations. I'm happy to see you thinking ahead!
I hope this helps with your planning. Please come back and visit if you have more questions as your sail date gets closer! - Diane W.
