My wife and I are planning a family trip next for fall 2014. We will have 6 adults & a 2 yr old. We would like to be in one place and have a kitchen. Do you have to be a DVC member to book a villa and which one do you recommend?

    Hi Allen,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I have good news for you. You do not need to be a Disney Vacation Club member to stay at the the Disney Vacation Club resorts. While Disney Vacation Club members can book these accommodations using vacation points, there are also villas available for booking using traditional payment methods such as credit cards or cash. When you are ready to book your vacation, simply call 407-W-DISNEY (407-934-7639) and the cast member there can help you to reserve a villa.

My family and I love having a full kitchen when we are on vacation. The convenience of being able grab breakfast before you head out for the day, or to have easily accessible snacks and drinks, is great. Given the number of people in your party, you will need to stay in a two-bedroom villa, all of which come with full kitchens. While all of the Disney Vacation Club resorts have something special to offer, let me share my three favorites with you.

First, I suggest Disney's Old Key West Resort. The vibe at this resort is relaxed and happy, and the villas there are very spacious. Next, my home resort is Disney's BoardWalk Villas. I love the vibrancy of Disney's BoardWalk, and the convenience of being able to walk to both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios is wonderful. Finally, a new favorite for my family is Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. It is sleek and modern, and you can walk to the Magic Kingdom!

Please do come back and ask if you have any further questions, Allen. I would love to help you continue to plan your magical vacation!
