Bright Suns, Taylor! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel on your way to the planet Batuu!
Droid Depot at
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge has the droids you are looking for. The Droid Depot workshop has all of the parts you will need to design and assemble either a BB-Series or R-Series astromech droid. Did you know that for an additional fee, you can purchase a personality chip for your droid? By purchasing a personality chip, you can choose whether your droid will show allegiance to the First Order or if it will support the Resistance. Since your droid will interact with other droids and various Bluetooth enabled devices throughout this immersive new land, your droid will be the perfect traveling companion as you explore Black Spire Outpost. My friend and fellow panelist,
Tony, recently visited Droid Depot with his daughters. Tony's daughters built two droids, and he reports that the droids still seem to "talk" to one another even after leaving the theme park.
If your wife decides that she would like to build her own droid, be sure to
book a Droid Depot reservation for her as well. Each Droid Depot reservation is limited to only one builder and one guest. The guest will not be able to construct their own droid unless they have a reservation as well. Walk-ins may be able to be accommodated at Droid Depot, but there is no guarantee.
As you stroll through the marketplace at Black Spire Outpost, sipping your
blue milk, be sure to take in all of the little details like the droid tracks that can be seen along the ground. To further enhance the interactive nature of your visit, be sure to download
Star Wars: Datapad on the Play Disney Parks mobile app.
I hope you and your wife enjoy living out your own Star Wars adventure at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. 'Til the Spires!
