Hi Daniel! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.
The current
SoCal Offer is a fantastic deal for Guests who live in eligible ZIP Codes. However, according to the
terms, to use the special offer tickets each Guest must present a valid government-issued photo ID proving their residence. Being married to a resident doesn't prove residence, unfortunately. But congratulations! I hope you head to the parks to celebrate regardless. Celebrating big life events at the resort is one of our favorite ways to commemorate the occasion. Be sure to pick up a complimentary
Celebration Button at City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park or Guest Services in Disney California Adventure Park so everyone knows you're celebrating. You never know what magic will happen.
You do have a couple of options to make that celebratory dream a reality. The first is to purchase a standard
admission ticket for your wife for the days you plan to use your SoCal ticket. If you plan to use the SoCal Tickets on non-consecutive days, you'd need to buy separate 1-Day tickets, rather than a 3-Day ticket, since Multi-Day tickets must be used within 13 days of first use. You're still getting a great deal on your ticket even if you're paying the standard price for your wife's.
The second option is to hurry on over to the DMV and apply for a California ID. A temporary California ID counts as a valid ID for entry, so you wouldn't have to wait for her to receive the real deal before using the SoCal Offer. Looking ahead, all potential future SoCal Deals or an
Imagine Key for eligible ZIP Codes will require ID, so you'll need that ID to take advantage of great resident offers now and in the future. It's a good reason to get a jump on a new ID.
The
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is what I'm currently looking forward to, but there's going to be a lot to explore and celebrate this year. I hope you're able to enjoy the parks to their fullest together.
Have a magical day.
Elizabeth
