Welcome to planDisney, Gurvir!
How exciting that you're planning a trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth.
It's so difficult to know which Disney Resort Collections hotel will be best for your family. It really depends on what matters most to you. Pricing? Transportation options? Proximity to theme parks? Dining? Theming? Pools? Therefore, it might be worth doing a bit more research to learn about each hotel and see which one sounds like the best fit. However, since you asked, I can give you my top recommendations from each hotel category (i.e. Value, Moderate, Deluxe) for a family of four (including two young kids):
Deluxe - Disney's Polynesian Village Resort
My family just stayed here and had the most magical time. It has everything, Gurvir. The relaxing Polynesian vibe is the perfect theme for a hotel. The Moana-themed rooms are beautiful and spacious. The dining options are great. The pools are fantastic (especially the Lava Pool). You can even watch
Happily Ever After each night from the beach area. The transportation options are superb (bus, Monorail, or boat). If it's in your price range, I would recommend staying here.
Moderate - Gran Destino Tower at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort
Gran Destino Tower has the look and feel of a Deluxe Resort for a Moderate Resort price. The Dig Site Pool is spectacular. The dining options are impressive. The walk around Lago Dorado (particularly as the sun is rising) is soul-refreshing. The room is comfortable. Even the elevators (yes, you heard me) are very cool. Trust me. If you and your wife want to enjoy a drink one evening, head up to
Dahlia Lounge. As Abuela from Encanto says, "The Magic is strong — and so are the drinks!" The views are amazing! Also, I really enjoy ordering a Spanish-inspired coffee and a pastry each morning at
Barcelona Lounge.
Value - Disney's Pop Century Resort
For a great price, you'll have convenient access to the fantastic Disney Skyliner. This is a truly wonderful way to travel to the parks, Gurvir. The theming is nostalgic (for adults) and the pools are fun (for kids). You don't get the luxury, dining options, or room space that you get with a Moderate or Deluxe Resort. However, if you're planning on being at the theme parks a lot, you might not need those things. We stayed here recently and had a great time.
I will say, Gurvir, since your trip is coming up soon, availability at these hotels might be an issue. Disney Resorts can get booked up well in advance, especially during busy seasons. However, I'm sure you'll have a great experience wherever you stay.
When it comes to which theme parks to visit, my answer is simple: all four of them! You can either purchase a 4-Day Ticket or purchase a 2-Day Ticket with a Park Hopper Option. If you can manage a 7-day trip, I would personally buy a 4-Day Ticket and have a rest day in between park days. You can then sleep in, enjoy your resort, and have an early night on those in-between days. This will be important with younger kids. They need those rest days (and so do parents)!
I hope that's helpful, Gurvir. Please visit us again if you have any more questions.
