Hi Christine!
Welcome to planDisney! Congratulations on your nuptials, and your upcoming honeymoon to the
Happiest Place on Earth! What a wonderful way to celebrate a coming together of two people who love each other. As a panelist who spent her very own honeymoon at Walt Disney World, I am thrilled to help answer your question about accommodations for Guests at Disneyland Resort.
There are several options for Guests with mobility conditions at the theme parks. You can opt to
rent a wheelchair or a scooter for use within the parks. Scooters/wheelchairs are on a first-come, first-served basis. They may be rented upon arrival directly outside of each respective park. If you are looking for a length of stay rental, you could utilize Disneyland’s featured provider
ScooterBug. They will be able to deliver the resort or scooter to your resort, and upon departure, you can leave it in the lobby, and they will retrieve it.
Christine, you may also consider applying for the
Disneyland Disability Access Service. The DAS, as it is referred to, is a program that was initiated to give Guests the opportunity to enjoy the attractions and entertainment but require accommodations outside of the general queue. In order to utilize the DAS, you will need to register with a Cast Member in person at Guest Services within the parks.
DAS Advance is also available for Guests who wish to register prior to their theme park visit. You can
pre-register online, where you will be invited to a live chat with a Cast Member who will be able to give you recommendations on whether the DAS pass will be the most appropriate for your party. DAS Advance live chat is available daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Pacific Standard Time. DAS Advance chat wait times are longer than expected, so bear that in mind when planning your call.
Congratulations again, and I hope this helps you plan a most magical honeymoon at the Disneyland Resort!
