my wife passed a few years ago and im taking 4 of my 5 kids plus a friend to the campground next summer. the kids are 21, 15,15 15 and 9. divide and take the youngest our separate ways or stay together. we have the water parks and more option.

    Hi William!

I am so happy you are bringing the family to Walt Disney World for a family summer vacation. I know when losing someone you love it is important to hold on to the family and make memories together.

Staying at the Fort Wilderness Campground will be a perfect location for the kids. There is so much to see and do right here in the resort such as canoeing, kayaking, biking, fishing, boating, horseback riding, and more.

We travel with our extended family for almost every vacation. I feel it is very important you do not divide but instead stay together when you visit the parks. Disney is based on family vacations and there is plenty for all ages in each park to enjoy. This includes the water parks as well. If the youngest does not wish to do some of the tougher thrill rides then during that time simply head to a nearby attraction while the others do the coaster. But then meet back up and move on to enjoy things that the whole group will have fun doing together.

I recently finished doing FastPasses for our family trip coming up and had to pick different ones that a toddler could do while the older grandchildren did the roller coaster rides. But we will always meet up and move on to do something together. All meals are together and other fun things.

That does not mean you can't have the older kids do their own thing at times but have everyone keep in mind that it is a family vacation. Disney is the absolute best place for a vacation for people of all ages. I know you will all find some magic during your stay.
