My wife and I will be in Orlando this month and just want to walk up and buy a one day pass. I am retired military. Do I just show my DD-214 discharge papers and will there be a discount?

    Hello Joseph!

As a military family, we love all that Walt Disney World has to offer for active and retired military members.
At this time, Walt Disney World Resort does not offer a military discount for single day admission. However, you can visit the Shades of Green Resort (located across from Disney's Polynesian Resort)  to purchase your single day admission tax-free.

If you will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort for a longer period of time, I suggest looking into the current Armed Forces Salute ticket promotion.  It really is a fantastic deal!

If you're planning on visiting Magic Kingdom Park on your visit, I suggest heading directly to Guest Relations (located inside City Hall) to see if there is availability for the Flag Retreat Ceremony taking place that day.  It's a wonderful ceremony honoring all of the military branches and features active or retired military guests.  I highly suggest taking it in on your visit, even as a spectator.  The ceremony typically takes place around 1700, but this can vary. I suggest grabbing a Times Guide and verifying the exact details for the day of your visit.

I hope you have a magical visit this month!  Please come back and see us if you have any other questions!
