My wife has one lung and is limited in the physical activity she can endure, like extended walking and standing. We will have a wheelchair for her use. But can you help me understand the DAS program and if she would qualify for this?

Hi Bill! Welcome back to planDisney.

By the end of this month, you will be headed back to Walt Disney World Resort during The World's Most Magical Celebration. Indulge in specialty-themed treats found in the 50th Anniversary Celebration Sips and Bites Guide. I recently had the Green Shimmering Margarita from Nomad Lounge at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. I also recommend the Tiffin's Bread Service. You can check out the menu here.

Disability Access Service (DAS) was created for a more inclusive experience for those individuals with disabilities making tolerating attraction queue wait difficult. Your case will be evaluated on an individual basis. My recommendation is to take advantage of pre-registration via video chat. This must be completed prior to two days before your first Theme Park Reservation. If your DAS status is approved, the Cast Member will assist you in reserving two one-hour return windows per day of your visit. Here is a list of the attractions available. Video chat is available from 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM. I recommend trying to log in early or late in the day as wait times have been lengthy.

Make sure your entire travel party is linked in the "Family & Friends List" in the My Disney Experience Mobile App prior to your call. To verify, open the app and click on the three horizontal lines in the bottom right-hand corner. Scroll down to "My Profile" and tap on "Family & Friends List." If you are missing anyone in your group, choose "Add a Guest" and select one of the three options to link everyone into your app. Bibbiddi-Bobbiddi-Boo!

Finally, you can always register in person once you enter any of the theme parks at Guest Relations. If mobility is an issue, all theme parks, Disney Springs, and water parks have Electronic Conyenance Vehicles (ECVs) for rent on a first-come-first-serve basis.

    Keeping it Magical,
    Cindy
