Hi there, Michael! Welcome to planDisney! As a fellow East Coaster, I can't wait for you to share the magic of the Happiest Place on Earth with your grandchildren. There is no better way to make some forever memories than a few days at the Disneyland Resort together!
I'm happy to report that you can absolutely purchase the
child price tickets for any Mouseketeers ages 3 - 9 in your party. When it comes to children entering the parks, you will not be asked to show proof of age. Just like Mulan, Guests are asked to bring honor to us all with an honor system in this instance. If you have any little ones under the age of 3, they are considered Guests of Mickey and will not require a ticket but can enjoy all the magic there is to offer!
Michael, as you are planning out those pixie-dusted park days, I want to earmark your calendar for the 60-day mark when you can start making
dining reservations. There are so many fun dining experiences, but my personal favorites are
Blue Bayou Restaurant in Disneyland Park where you can watch your fellow Guests sail away on their Pirates of the Caribbean adventure or
Storytellers Cafe at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Storytellers Cafe offers Mickey's Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet where you can mix and mingle with some favorite characters and a seated dinner in the evenings. If you love Disneyland nostalgia, I would head to
Carnation Cafe right on Main Street, U.S.A. where you can even order some of Walt's favorites! Sixty days is also when you can look into booking any dining packages that include reserved viewing areas for nighttime spectaculars like
World of Color or
Fantasmic! Why not end your evening with a little sparkle and a lot of magic?!
Michael, I sure hope this was helpful in your planning! If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at
planDisney!
Keep wishing on those stars,
Tara
