Hi Nicholas,
I can tell you are concerned about getting the best possible view from your room at
Disney's Yacht Club Resort. I agree with what my friend
Andrea said in her answer. I would add two points.
First, try not to be too worried about having the best view at the resort. I have stayed at the Yacht Club several times and during my favorite vacation there, we had a room with a standard view that overlooked the front of the resort. The view wasn't anything special, but it was still to have my coffee on the balcony in the morning. The rest of that vacation was so spectacular that the view didn't end up mattering even a tiny bit.
Second, I want to caution you against requesting specific room numbers. If those rooms are occupied when you arrive the staff doesn't know what you prefer. I try to keep it simple with only one or two requests. We tend to book a water or lagoon view at Disney resorts. I might ask for a clear view of the water and a higher floor. I have had good luck with requests so I hope you will as well. I have found that Cast Members do try to honor requests, but when the resorts are busy it's more difficult.
Please let me know if I can help you with any other questions!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Amy H
