My wife and I are going to MVMCP. Where is a good place to view the parade so we don't block the children? We have 7:40pm reservations at Tony's. Will we be able to see the parade from the porch outside during dinner? Is it a rain or shine event?

    Hi Bill,

Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade is at 8:15 pm and 10:30 pm during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.  So, ideally you have a chance of being able to view the parade from outdoor seating at Tony's.  When you arrive to check in for your reservation, I'd let them know that you'd like to dine outside if possible and are willing to wait. We've been lucky enough to do this, and it is a great memory!  I hope you will be as lucky.

As for a good spot to watch the parade, I have always liked Frontierland since it doesn't seem as crowded, so you could find a spot that won't block any children.  However, during the holidays I'm partial to watching the parades from Main Street so that you can enjoy all the extra decorations.  I'd try to get a spot along Main Street or near the hub in front of the castle.  Just an fyi, the second parade will likely have lighter crowds.

We have watched parades in the rain, but sometimes they can be cancelled or delayed if conditions pose a risk to guests or cast members.

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel; please let us know if we can help again.  Enjoy the party!
