My wife and I have multiple MagicBands from previous trips. Unfortunately, our daughters cannot find theirs. How do we transfer one our bands to our daughters?

    Hello, Paul!

Welcome back to planDisney! Can you believe that in just a few weeks you will be enjoying the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Walt Disney World Resort? You will have a magical time enjoying all the new experiences created for the celebration. My favorite is Disney’s Fab 50 Character Collection. This tribute contains 50 gold statuettes on display across all 4 theme parks for your enjoyment. You can create a family scavenger hunt to see who can find them all.

MagicBands are my favorite Disney souvenir! They are a stylish piece of wearable technology that will allow you access to your theme park admission, add PhotoPass Photos to your Memory Maker account, redeem Lightning Lane experiences, and if you are a Guest of a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you can unlock the door to your room and charge purchases back to your room account.

Unfortunately, MagicBands are not transferable from one user to another. Once they are linked to you, they cannot be used by someone else. Typically, I would suggest that you purchase a MagicBand online from the selection available at However, your trip is so close, you may not receive them before you arrive. You can purchase MagicBands for your daughters when you arrive. They are available in all theme parks and select retail locations in Disney Springs. These MagicBands will need to be linked to their My Disney Experience accounts, a friendly Cast Member can assist you if needed.

Your daughters can also use Disney’s MagicMobile Service. This is a free service available to anyone with an iOs device or Android device with Google Pay. In the My Disney Experience mobile app, click the more icon [3 horizontal lines] and tap the Disney MagicMobile button from the menu. Follow the prompts to set up a pass and save it to your Apple Wallet. Your iPhone can now be used just like a MagicBand.

I hope this helps, have a magical time!
