Greetings, Andrew, and thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
The
Disneyland Resort does an excellent job of making sure all Guests feel welcome and comfortable, including
those with disabilities. If your wife has difficulty standing in lines, I would imagine that
Guest Relations would be happy to find a solution for her.
Disability Access Service (DAS) is one solution that could be especially helpful, since it provides the Guest with a return time for attractions, so they don’t have to spend that time waiting in line. I recommend stopping by Guest Relations in either park to chat with a Cast Member about setting up DAS for your wife. You can do this at City Hall in Disneyland Park, or Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure Park. If you prefer to chat with someone ahead of time, you may also
contact Disability Services at (407) 560-2547.
The Disneyland Resort also offers both
Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) rentals, and wheelchair rentals, in case either would be helpful for your wife. I also recommend
purchasing your tickets ahead of time, so you can avoid waiting in line on your day of arrival. Another great time-saver during your 2020 Disneyland Resort getaway is utilizing the
Disneyland app. It’s a wonderful handy helper inside the theme parks. My family uses it to make dining reservations, check wait times, utilize Disney MaxPass and Disney PhotoPass, and find our favorite Characters. You can even use it to
mobile order food and drinks ahead of time.
Should you and your wife have any other questions or concerns throughout your visit to the Disneyland Resort, please reach out to a Cast Member… they would be more than happy to help!
Wishing you a magical and comfortable vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth this February!
