So my wife misplace the information we got on the DCL we just did at the beginning of August and I was wanting to read about the placeholder stipulations so I can try and plan our next cruise. So my question is, is there a place on the DCL website find it?

    Hi there, Sheryl!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and welcome home from your Disney Cruise Line vacation!  The first few days (or weeks for my family it seems) back to reality after a Disney Cruise Line vacation is always a challenge!  My boys are always wondering why they have to make their beds now and where their chocolate squares are before bedtime!  Sorry guys…mommy isn’t as incredible as your stateroom host or hostess was while on vacation!

It appEARs that it’s safe to say you had a fantastic time since you went ahead and booked a placeholder for your next adventure at sea!  I always always always make sure to book either our next vacation or a placeholder while onboard so that we have our next adventure with Captain Mickey to look forward to!  Then, once we decide when that next voyage is, we immediately link it to the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app so that we can have a visual countdown to refer to often!  Placeholders are an excellent option when you aren’t exactly sure when you want to hit the high seas again, but you still want to have all the benefits given by booking a future Disney Cruise Line vacation while onboard!  Currently, a placeholder allows Guests up to 24 months from the date the placeholder was booked to set sail.  This gives you plenty of time to explore the currently released itineraries and even wait for future destinations and schedules to be released as well.  Just remember that even though you do receive a discounted rate, you are subject to the current pricing so it’s always best to book as far out as possible as I have found those to be the best rates!  For specific questions regarding your placeholder, I would recommend contacting Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 and inquiring further.  They will be able to answer any questions you have as well as help you book your next vacation!

Once you get your next voyage on the calendar, please come back with all your planning questions!  Isn’t the planning part so much fun?!?!  And then once it is done, all you have to do is show up ready to enjoy!
