    My wife and I are both military. We plan on bringing our 4 grandchildren to WDW and Sept 2019. We purchased our ticket to the military travel agency. How do we link them in my plan system for to use for MagicBands?

    Hi Charles,

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Mine is also a military family, and we are so grateful for the fantastic discounts available to us and our fellow military members at Walt Disney World Resort. I’m so glad you’ve found those discounts and are getting ready for a Grand Adventure with your sweet grandkids this September.

    Charles, when you purchased your Military Promotional Tickets, they likely came in either the form of a Ticket Card or what’s called an Exchange Certificate, which looks like a paper ticket. Both of these forms of ticket media come printed with a ticket number, and that’s what you’ll use to link each ticket to your My Disney Experience account. Once you’re logged in to My Disney Experience, select “Tickets and Passes.” From there, you’ll be able to add the tickets one by one, either by scanning the barcode (if there is one) using the My Disney Experience mobile app, or by typing in the ticket number. Once you add the ticket number, you’ll be asked to link each ticket to a Guest, so you’ll want to be sure that you, your wife, and each of your grandchildren has a My Disney Experience account set up. If you need help with the setup or linking your tickets, don’t hesitate to call the friendly My Disney Experience Cast Members at (407) 939-4357 and they can take you through step by step.

    Once the tickets are linked to each Guest’s My Disney Experience account, they will be linked to any MagicBands associated with that account. Because you purchased military tickets, you’ll need to stop at any theme park ticket window to activate the tickets using your military ID card. It’s a quick and easy process, and they will check to make sure each MagicBand is properly connected to the right ticket at that time. 

    Charles, since you mention MagicBands, I’m hoping that means you’ll be staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Did you know that Disney offers resort hotel discounts for military members, too? If you haven’t already booked a military discounted room, please call (407) 939-1936 to check on rates and availability for your travel dates. There are so many great benefits of being a Walt Disney World Resort hotel Guest, including complimentary MagicBands, Extra Magic Hours, and the ability to make FastPass+ selections 60 days in advance of your check in date!

    One last thing: once those tickets and hotel reservations are linked, get ready to make your FastPass+ selections. You’ll be able to do that using your My Disney Experience account, and if we can help you with that process, please come back and see us!
