My wife and I are looking to take our first Disney Cruise and we plan on staying at the Resorts to take advantage of the port transportation but I am in a wheelchair and can’t seem to find the information on if the Busses are handicap Accessible.

    Ahoy, Trinity!

Thanks for sailing by planDisney with such a fantastic question! I get so excited when helping a Guest plan their first Disney Cruise because I know they’re about to experience an unforgettable adventure. And with a stay at a Disney Resort hotel, your trip is going to be double the magic!

Disney goes above and beyond to ensure all Guests have seamless and accessible transportation. While you're at Walt Disney World, you'll find that buses, the monorail, watercraft, and the Skyliner are all wheelchair accessible, making it easy to navigate the magic.

For your transportation to the port, just be sure to request a lift-equipped vehicle when booking your port transfer, and you’ll be all set! You can also note any additional needs using the Special Services form online. The Disney Cruise Line Disability Services Guide is another great resource to help you prepare. Once onboard, you’ll discover that theaters, restaurants, shops, and more are fully accessible, so you can enjoy every magical moment at sea.

Pro planDisney tip: Did you know that the AquaMouse on both the Wish and Treasure is currently the only ADA-accessible water slide attraction at sea? It’s a splash-tastic experience you won’t want to miss!

If you have any more questions, don’t hesitate to drop anchor back at planDisney—we love to help!

    Bon voyage!
