My wife and I live in Alabama and plan to visit Disney in March. Granddaughter just turned 3 years old but lives in Pensacola. How can I purchase the adult tickets as out of state but purchase my granddaughters for Florida Resident for a 3-year old?

Hi there, Daniel! Welcome to planDisney!

It sounds like your granddaughter is one lucky little princess! I'm sure you're looking forward to your special visit to the Walt Disney World Resort with her. There's nothing like seeing the magic through the eyes of a little one.

To start your grand adventure, it's as easy as a spoonful of sugar to buy tickets online for yourself and your wife on the Walt Disney World website. As for your granddaughter, you'd need to live in Florida to buy a Florida resident ticket for her. But there is an option to verify Florida residency online using a government-issued Florida state ID (a drivers license, for instance), so your best bet might be to have her parents buy her ticket. They can simply enter their residency information as part of the checkout process, and you should be good to go when it's time for the fun! If there are any issues with verification, her parents can give Guest Services a call and a friendly Cast Member will be happy to assist them.

Once your granddaughter has her ticket, just make sure you have a My Disney Experience account set up and link her ticket to your account so you can make plans like Disney Park Pass reservations, dining reservations, Mobile Ordering for quick service meals, and more. You'll find tips and instructions for making all of those plans at the links I provided. And of course, if you need any help at all, you can hop on over and see us again with your questions. We're always here to help!

Daniel, if you're looking for fun things to do with your little grand-princess, Disney has a handy guide to planning for preschool kids and little ones. From flying with Dumbo to waving at Mickey, these tips will help you have a truly magical time!

I hope this helps you plan a vacation full of fond memories with your precious granddaughter, Daniel. Again, do visit us again if you need any help or advice. Your planDisney pals love nothing more than helping families discover the magic of Walt Disney World!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
