My wife and 2 kids will be visiting WDW November 6-10, 2012. We have a base ticket and are in Hollywood Studios on the first day of the MM Christmas Parade possibly on 11/9. If we purchase parade tickets will we still be able to attend the parade in MK?

    Hi John,

If you purchase tickets to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party, an after-hours event at the Magic Kingdom, you'll get the benefit of a whole evening of extra magic. The party is much more than just a parade.

Your base ticket for the Walt Disney World theme parks is separate from a Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party (MVMCP) ticket. Your base ticket will allow you to visit one theme park per day.

If you purchase the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, you will also be able to attend the party in the Magic Kingdom regardless of what type of ticket you used earlier in the day. In fact, my family usually doesn't tour a park on the day of an after-hours party. We use the day to visit a water park, swim at our hotel, and/or visit Downtown Disney.

To get the most out of your MVMCP tickets, you'll want to be prepared to stay as close to midnight as possible. The second parade is much less crowded and the attractions are often walk-ons by the end of the evening.

The party is truly a magical event. I have fond memories of our son trying to catch "snowflakes" on Main Street U.S.A. The parades, fireworks, character greetings, and complimentary cookies are just some of the wonderful things in store for party-goers!

Just remember that Party tickets are not associated with your regular theme park admission.
