Welcome to planDisney, Dan.
Like you, my wife and I had our honeymoon at Walt Disney World. However, our honeymoon was a few years after yours! Congratulations on 50 years of marriage! You can celebrate this honorable milestone alongside the
50th Anniversary Celebration. With all the new rides and shows, EARidescent souvenirs and décor, tasty snacks and drinks, I'm sure you and your family will have a magical time.
As Miguel from Coco says, “We may have our differences, but nothing’s more important than family.” Here are some suggestions to make your upcoming trip extra special:
Consider booking a Capture Your Moment photo session at
Magic Kingdom Park,
EPCOT,
Disney's Animal Kingdom, or
Disney's Hollywood Studios. These personalized 20-minute photo sessions provide a perfect way to capture the memory of your family trip.
Along the same lines, you could also consider purchasing the
Memory Maker. This is a great way to sprinkle some extra pixie dust on those memories. Throughout the Theme Parks, Disney PhotoPass photographers are waiting and ready to capture your most precious moments. By purchasing Memory Maker, you'll be able to have unlimited downloads of your Disney PhotoPass photos and videos. Not only that, but you can even share your captured moments with up to 25 members on your Family & Friends list. You can purchase Memory Maker - Advance Purchase at least three days in advance of activation and save some pennies. You can also purchase Memory Maker One Day for shorter trips.
If you'd like to book something truly unforgettable, then take a peek at the
Enchanting Extras Collection. There are so many magical experiences to choose from, such as special fireworks viewings, spectacular shows, and fascinating behind-the-scenes tours.
If you'd like to celebrate with a special family meal, then Walt Disney World has so many wonderful dining options. Since your trip is coming up shortly, many of the more popular restaurants are probably filled up by now. However, it's worth checking to see what's available. The planDisney team has put together
a list of our recommendations. If you can't get a reservation for the restaurant you want, don't panic. One of the fantastic features of the My Disney Experience Mobile App is the ability to make
walk-up dining reservations at select restaurants. Give it a try and see if you can get lucky.
One practical suggestion: since you'll be vacationing as a multi-generational family, I'd suggest letting each person choose a must-see attraction, whether it’s The Hall of Presidents for the grandparents or Remy's Ratatouille Adventure for the grandkids.
I trust you'll have an enchanting time, Dan. Thanks for stopping by planDisney.
