I am so glad that you and your family will be reuniting at the Walt Disney World Resort, as there is no better place to bring the family together. Also, as a Canadian citizen and resident, I must say that I am very jealous! Living in sunny Florida sounds like a dream, and the Florida Resident perks definitely make a nice difference in your vacation.
Now, let's talk about your tickets and how you and your family can all join in on the fun together. You are correct that while you will be able to use the Florida resident offer on theme park tickets, this offer is only available for Florida residents who can show one of the
accepted proofs of residency. To view all available offers to Florida residents, I suggest taking a look at the
Florida Residents page on the Walt Disney World website. Then, you may add your Florida Resident theme park tickets to your cart as well as your family's tickets and purchase them all at once. At this time,
regular one-day theme park tickets start at $109.00, but prices are subject to change and vary depending on the day selected. Although the Disney Genie+ option cannot be added to your purchase in advance if you only purchase a one-day ticket, you will be able to buy it on the day of your visit on the
My Disney Experience mobile app.
Once your tickets have been purchased, make sure to link them to your party on My Disney Experience! If you have a My Disney Experience account, you will have to be linked with everyone in your party through your
Family & Friends List. Click on "My Family & Friends" under the My Disney Experience tab and "Add a Guest." You will be able to enter their information, but make sure that you enter the email associated with their account so that they will receive your invitation. Then, you will be able to
link your tickets to them by going into "My Plans" and clicking on "Add More Plans." Also, make sure that everyone has their
park reservations. On the day of your visit, you will be able to buy Disney Genie+ at midnight, but make your selections starting at 7 A.M. Therefore, I suggest planning some extra time to make these purchases and selections. Also, don't forget that you can also do as Aladdin did and use your three wishes! The
Disney Genie, Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane services are not mutually exclusive, so use all three to get the most out of your vacation!
