My wife and I are entered in the Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon in November. My wife is confident that she can walk the whole think in under 3.5 hours. Can you tell me if there are many people who walk the entire half marathon?

Hi Larry!  My husband and I love the Wine and Dine half marathon.  It's a great race to do with your spouse, and of course, the post-race party is a blast!

There are a lot of people who walk the entire race.  The minimum pace requirement is a 16 minute/mile.  That is a brisk walk.  If I were her, I would train at a 15 minute/mile just to have some confidence.  Also, the pace is an overall time, so she can go faster at some points and then slower if she needs to.  The time begins when the last person crosses the starting line, so as long as that isn't her, she will have a few minutes extra!

RunDisney is truly a race for everyone.  There are all different level runners and walkers in the race.  Everyone is welcome and everyone feels welcomed.  The spirit at the race is very infectious and she will have a great time walking at the most magical place on Earth!!

Please let me know if you have any other questions!
