Hi, My wife and I are doing a long weekend away from the kids and staying at the Villas at the Grand Floridian. We are making the wine and food festival a priority, so what are recommended experiences for the wine and food festival? Big thanks!

    Hi Trent,

The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is one of my favorite events at Walt Disney World. Epcot's World Showcase is filled with food, merchandise, and entertainment.

One of my favorite activities at this festival is simply to walk around and sample food and beverages from the booths that are located around World Showcase. I suggest that you make this a meal. Instead of lunch or dinner at a restaurant, wander the food booths and choose items that sound interesting to you to sample. Since the portions are small plates, you can sample many. Wandering around Epcot World Showcase is included with admission to Epcot, and you purchase items separately at each booth.

If you are looking for a low-cost way to add to your Epcot Food International Food & Wine Festival experience, consider the Mixology Seminars, Wine & Beverage Seminars, and Culinary Demonstrations. These occur in the Festival Center and for a low price you can learn from an expert about various foods and beverages. You also might consider one of the World Showcase Dining Events, which include events such as a Parisian breakfast or Mediterranean Food & Wine Pairing. To make reservations for these, or any other Epcot International Food & Wine Festival event, call 407-WDW-FEST (407-939-3378).

The unofficial site disneyfoodblog.com has extensive information about this festival. I suggest checking out their information by visiting the site, scrolling down, and clicking on their icon for Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.

I am limited in the amount of space that I have to answer, Trent. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
