My wife & I are going to Disneyland on January 31 for my birthday. We are flying into John Wayne airport. We are stay at Grand Califorian. What is the best for transportation from airport to hotel? Taxi, car service (if so which), bus? Thank you.

    Hello Ryan!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I hope you are having a magical week!

Disneyland Resort has many trusted partners for buses and town cars, as well as has various public transportation information available on the website. There are a many different ways to get from the John Wayne Airport in Orange County to the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa in Anaheim. In my family of 5, we most often just grab a cab when we arrive at the airport. The cost may vary but I’ve found with that many people it sometimes works out to be cheaper for a van with a taxi service than to pay for 5 individuals on a shuttle.

For two people a shuttle might be more cost effective, but the waits might be a bit longer. It might be a nice treat to have a reserved town car for your birthday as well. That way you know what to expect and you don’t have to wait in a taxi line or for a bus.

I hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions as you plan your visit!

    See you real soon!
