My wife and I have different accounts on the Disneyland App, how can we link our dining reservations together so they show on both our plans? Currently when we try to link, it says it is already linked to either myself or her and wont allow us to link.

    Hi Colin!

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for stopping by and sending this Disneyland Resort question our way. I'm happy to be your planEAR today!

I see that you're from Georgia, Colin. And because you're asking how to link a Disneyland Dining Reservation to both your and your wife's My Disneyland Accounts so you can both view your shared itinerary, I'm going to take a leap and assume that you're a Walt Disney World Resort family familiar with the My Disney Experience planning features of Mickey's Florida home. I was actually in your shoes not too long ago! We were 'World people' until my husband was relocated to Southern California in 2018. So much is so similar between the two coasts, but so much is also different. It's really fun to find the small differences!

At this time only the original reservation maker is able to hold the reservation in their My Disneyland account and thus the Disneyland Mobile App. Unlike Disney World where everyone 18+ has their own profile linked to each other and at the time of reserving dining needs to be identified (ex: a table for three is Kristen, Veronica, and Ashley) for plan sharing purposes, Disneyland simply asks how many seats you'd like and trusts that you'll find some friends who want to eat with you along the way. The best way to keep up with your joint plans individually is to add the reservations to your phone or smart watch, either in the calendar or as a note (or both!) and set reminders. This may change in the future as Disneyland Resort is set to rollout MagicBands+ this yEAR, however Mickey hasn't revealed when that will be quite yet and if that also means a new and more connected family and friends system will come with it. There is, however, a way to link tickets so you both will be able to make Genie+, Lightning Lane and any virtual queue reservations together.

There truly is something so special every time I visit Disneyland and walk in Walt's footsteps, dine in his favorite restaurants, and possibly sit in a ride vehicle he also once rode in. And I'm excited that you'll soon experience this too! Thank you again, Colin, for reaching out to us. And if you have any more Disneyland Resort Vacation planning questions, We're All Ears!
