Hey there Max,
Sending you a warm welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for stopping by with your question! First and foremost, I'm so happy to hear about your wife - congratulations and well fought to her and your family through such an arduous time. And what better way to celebrate than to visit the Happiest Place on Earth?!
The Disneyland Resort works hard to provide inclusive and accessible experiences to all Guests, which I've seen first hand! Specifically on this front, I would recommend checking out the
Accessibility page, which has a wealth of resources and planning guides for Guests of all abilities and their families. Depending on the type of assistance or support level you might need, it might also be helpful to reach out to the Cast Members on this team directly at disability.services@disneyland.com.
More anecdotally and from my own experience, we have used multiple different approaches to helping our little ones through a park day. One of my top priorities when visiting the parks is ensuring I have multiple back up phone battery chargers since I typically use my phone a lot throughout the day (more on the below). You can either purchase your own or, what my family typically opts for, is using the
Portable Phone Charging Service Kiosks located around the Disneyland Resort. We love these because when one previously purchased charger runs out of juice, you just drop it in a kiosk and get a fully charged one for free.
Then we're typically using my phone to explore the
Play Disney Parks app! Depending on the age of your kiddos, this app is a great way to have fun while waiting in lines as there are multiple games in this app as well as some options for real life interactivity when you perform certain actions in the app. Beyond that, we also enjoy playing other apps as a group like guessing games and quizzes. There are likely quite a few options for those typically available in your phone's app store. We've also been known to bring some less wieldy card games like Go Fish!
Lastly, we also typically purchase the
Lightning Lane Multi Pass for our tickets. This has been hugely worth it for our family the last few years as it not only allows us to book return times for the shorter Lightning Lane queues, but it also provides unlimited digital downloads of all the
Disney PhotoPass photos we have taken around the parks! Personally, I find it to be a fantastic value, but certainly understand that it's not always in the budget.
Thanks again for stopping by with your question, Max! I hope you and your family have such a great time making new magical memories together at the Happiest Place on Earth during your upcoming trip.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
