My wife, I, daughters, husbands, and grandhildren, 9 in all, will be going to Disneyworld in late July 2010. We will have the deluxe meal plan. My question is how do we pay for the meals , character meals, and hoop de doo meal with our deluxe meal plan?

Wow, how exciting!!  When you are able to make your dining reservations, the cast member will ask for your reservation number to confirm you are on the Deluxe Plan.  The dining reservation will then be attached to your room reservation.  When you check into your resort, you will be given your room key, but your room key is also your Key to the World card.  Your room key will be your ticket into the parks as well as your method of deducting your meals from your plan.   That sounds a bit confusing.  When you finish your meal the cast member will bring a bill and you will give her one of the keys and the meals will be deducted.  It is a pretty cool concept actually.  Have an amazing trip!
