My wife, daughter, and I are using DDP, but our parents aren't staying on property, therefore they can't. If we leave my daughter with them while in the parks (to allow us time alone), can our parents take our 4y/o to use her meal credit?

    Hi Robert,

When you check in to your Resort, you will receive a "Key to the World" card for each member of your family. These cards serve as your Park passes, room keys and hold your dining credits as well. When your parents have your daughter, you'll just need to be sure to give them her Key to the World card. When they are eating dinner with her, they'll simply tell their Server that they are paying cash but that their grand-daughter is on the Disney Dining Plan. The Server will then subtract one child credit from her card. For Quick Service meals, they will order her meals with the Key to the World card and pay cash for their own.

This is actually quite common and won't be a problem at all. In fact, we've been part of a party of 18 where 8 of us were on one dining plan, 3 were on another and 7 people paid cash. As long as they clarify for the Cast Member prior to placing their order (and have her card with them), it will be all set.

Hope this helps and that your daughter enjoys the special time with her grandparents. Have a Magical vacation,
