Ahoy there, Carlos, and welcome aboard planDisney! I'm so glad you sailed my way with your question about required travel documentation! It's always a very good idea to make sure you have this extremely important checklist item settled well before your sail date, so great job! In no time, you and your crew will be relaxing on your Disney Cruise Line Vacation!
According to
Disney Cruise Line's current Travel Documentation information for cruises sailing to the Bahamas, Guests who are legal permanent residents of the U.S. must present a valid original Permanent Resident Card - and I should note that photocopies are not acceptable! If your daughter happens to be under the age of 15 and a U.S. citizen, you'll just need an original or copy of her state-issued birth certificate, but if she's 16-years-old or older, she'll also need a government-issued photo ID - or a passport will also suffice!
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE GOOD NEWS.
I sailed on over to the Bahamian government's website, and was able to confirm that - for visits not exceeding 30 days - non-U.S. citizens require an Alien Registration Card (Green Card) and a Valid National Passport from their country of birth but do not need a visa for the Bahamas!
With that knowledge, I'm sure you and your crew are ready to jump into
everything that's included on a Disney Cruise Line vacation! Whether your cruise will be aboard the
Disney Magic or the newly-relocated
Disney Dream, you all will be making magical memories in no time! From delicious dining options, incredible onboard entertainment, and an incredible day at Disney Castaway Cay on deck, there will be no shortage of opportunities to have an amazing time!
Oh, and one final planDrew-approved tip: when on
Disney Castaway Cay, don't feel like you have to wait for the tram to take you to the beach. Whether you make the hike all the way to Serenity Bay, or spend your day at the Family Beach, follow your feet and stake your claim to the best beach chairs you can find!
I hope that all helps you and your crew chart a course for adventure, Carlos! Thank you so much for your questions and if you have any others while you continue planning, please drop me another line here at planDisney!
Until then, I wish you fair winds and following seas!
Andrew
