My wife and daughter are guests on my Disney account. My daughter is under 13 so she can’t have her own account. The system doesn’t recognize that my wife and her new account are the same person. What do I do?

    Hello, John!

Thank you for stopping by planDisney with a very important planning question. It looks like you are just 10 days away from joining the World’s Most Magical Celebration. My favorite new experience is Disney’s Fab 50 Character Collection. A total of 50 golden statues are placed in all 4 theme parks as a tribute to 50 years of your favorite Disney Characters. You can create your own family-style scavenger hunt to find them all.

I am assuming that you had previously set up a My Disney Experience account for your wife that you used to manage. Now she has set up her own account and needs to connect them both together. If you and your wife have the My Disney Experience mobile app installed on your smartphone devices. Open your account and tap the more icon in the lower right corner [3 horizontal lines]. Scroll down to My Profile and then select Show My Linking Code. Have your wife open her app and select My Profile and then select the Family & Friends List tab in the top right corner. Scroll to the end of the list and select + Add a Guest. Select Scan their linking code and then scan your code. She will now have the option to link to the profile that you created for her on your account to her new account. Once the accounts are linked, the information contained in your account will migrate over to her account too. This will include all previously connected MagicBands and any tickets you have linked to her account.

If you have any trouble getting connected, you can always reach out to a Cast Member on the My Disney Experience and MagicBands team for assistance at (407) 939-4357. They will work their magic to get your accounts linked. Be sure to confirm that your wife’s Park Pass reservations migrated to her new account along with her theme park admission.

I hope this helps with your planning and I am wishing you a magical time!

    See ya real soon,
    Andrea
