Craig from Tyne and Wear Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

My wife has created an account and downloaded the Disney Experience app. I have tried to scan the code for her pass to her account but is says it can't as the pass is already linked to my account. How can i resolve so my wife has access to parks ?

    Hi Craig, welcome to planDisney!

You can officially say you're visiting Walt Disney World Resort this month - can you believe it?! I'll be visiting next month, so please be sure to leave an IMPOSSIBLE Meatball with herbed polenta, rustic puttanesca sauce, and basil pesto from the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival for me!

Since you and your wife both have My Disney Experience accounts, you need to connect as Family and Friends. I understand your wife's ticket has already been linked to your account. When you linked the ticket, I'm going to take a guess that you created a My Disney Experience profile for your wife that is managed under your account. You can confirm or deny this by looking for her name on your Family and Friends list with "Plans Managed by Me" next to it. If her name does appear, complete the steps below to merge her newly created account with the account profile managed by you. If her name does not appear, you can skip down to the next paragraph.

    1. Click "Update" next to your wife's name as it appears on your Family and Friends list.
    2. Click "Share planning with [wife's name]" and enter the email address associated with your wife's My Disney Experience account.
    3. Ask your wife to accept the email invitation to connect from Disney Destinations. Once accepted, all of the plans you made for your wife will automagically transfer to her account. This includes her linked ticket. You will be able to view and make plans for each other since you are now officially connected as Family and Friends.

If your wife's name does not appear on your Family and Friends list yet, Craig, that probably means her ticket is currently assigned to you. In this case, complete the following steps to reassign the ticket to your wife:

    1. Click the "Reassign Ticket" dropdown menu to the right of the desired ticket on your tickets page and select "Add a Guest."
    2. Select "I'll enter their name and age."
    3. After you enter your wife's age, select "Invite this Guest to connect."
    4. Enter the email address associated with your wife's My Disney Experience account.
    5. As above, ask your wife to accept the invitation in her inbox. This will connect you as Family and Friends and complete the ticket reassignment process.

I hope one of these scenarios provides the answer you seek, Craig. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any follow-up questions. And don't forget to make a theme park reservation for each person for each park day.

    Plan magic; planDisney.
