Hello! My wife have been considering purchasing a DVC membership. We always go to Disneyland and would like for that to be our “home property.” But they are not offering that property right now. Will they ever? What options do I have to buy one there?

Hey there, Michael! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy that you've stopped by with your question. The fact that you're considering magical vacations for decades to come with a Disney Vacation Club Membership makes this the ultimate vacation planning question! Chatting Disney and gushing over DVC are my favorite things to do, so, I'm thrilled to chat with you today!

I can't even begin to tell you how thrilled I am to hear that you and your wife are looking forward to becoming DVC Members. Being a Member, knowing that my family's next magical adventure is always just around the riverbend, and always having a running countdown to my next Disney vacation truly brings joy and magic to my everyday life. Membership ensures that vacationing remains a priority for my family, and it's an investment in making magical memories together. Making magical memories at Disneyland Resort for years to come sounds like an absolute dream, and since a dream is a wish your heart makes, let's chat about making all your heart's wishes come true!

At this time, the only DVC Resort at Disneyland Resort is The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and you are correct that it is a sold-out Resort. However, I do recommend that you schedule time to speak with a DVC Guide to discuss your options, so, go ahead and set up a meeting or give them a call. My family and I were lucky enough to be able to purchase our Membership at a sold-out Home Resort, so, you never know what sort of pixie dust may be sprinkled your way!

Speaking of pixie dust, I think you will be excited to hear that more DVC magic will be coming to Disneyland Resort in the near future! Disney announced that a new DVC tower is being planned at the iconic Disneyland Hotel! The DVC Resort will include Tower Studios, Deluxe Studios, and One, Two and Three-Bedroom Villas, and the photo renderings look absolutely incredible. While an opening date or a sales date has not yet been announced, I recommend keeping a close eye on the DVC website and Disney Parks Blog for more information as soon as it drops, as well as keeping in touch with your DVC Guide. This Disneyland Hotel tower already has the DVC community buzzing with excitement, so, once it is available for sale, I have a hunch that this Resort will sell out fast!

I hope this was helpful, Michael, and I hope to wish you and your wife a warm "Welcome Home" very soon! My family and I have truly cherished the countless memories made with our Membership, and I think your only regret will be not joining sooner. Please stop by any time with any planning or DVC questions you may have along the way. You've got a friend in me!

    See ya real soon,

    Mandy
