hello, my wife and I are coming sept 26-oct 4 cant wait! Staying at the swan. Been to disney many times but never during epcot f&w fest. Planning a bunch of time for epcot during our stay, any advice on must do's for the f&w festival? Thank you in

    Hi Mark,

You are arriving during my favorite Disney season: the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival.

My husband and I love eating and drinking our way around the World Showcase during the festival. I like to look over the menus of the marketplaces in advance to have an idea of what new items I want to try and what old favorites are returning.

There's no way to taste something from each booth for one meal. Since you have plenty of time, I suggest multiple circuits on different days for maximum tasting opportunities. I like to do entrees on one circuit, desserts on another, beers one day, wines another.

Don't miss a visit to the Festival Center in Future World. The center has selections of wines, cookbooks and other merchandise. It's also the spot for culinary demonstrations, mixology seminars and wine and beverage seminars. Those often sell out so you may want to take a look at the schedule and make a reservation. We love these low-cost ($14-$15) events and try to do at least two each year. We've seen some great chefs and learned a lot about wines, whiskey and other spirits.

Make sure that you check out the Eat to the Beat concert series as well, free shows at 5:30, 6:45 and 8 p.m. daily featuring big-name acts.

I hope you have a delicious, fun-filled visit. I suspect it will not be the last time you want to spend time at the festival. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions or offer more details. Enjoy!
