Hello my wife and I are coming down Thanksgiving Day, not going to parks just relaxing. Can you take the bus to the Boardwalk or do you have to drive. Any more suggestions on stuff we could do. Thanks so much.

    Hello Larry,

What a wonderful way to spend Thanksgiving Day, simply relaxing and taking in some unique experiences without having to be among the heavy theme park crowds. I think exploring Disney's BoardWalk is a splendid idea. I would also like to recommend a few other options.

You can take the Disney resort transportation to Disney's BoardWalk, but depending on where you are staying, you will most likely need to make a transfer, as you cannot take buses directly resort to resort. I have two transportation suggestions. My first recommendation would be to take a bus from your resort hotel to Disney Springs and then transfer to one bound for Disney's BoardWalk Inn. Secondly, you could take a bus from your resort hotel to Disney's Hollywood Studios and then take a boat from outside the theme park to Disney's BoardWalk. Please keep in mind that these transfers add a bit more time, so please allow about an hour for either transportation option. Alternatively, you could either take a taxi or Uber or Lyft service to Disney's BoardWalk Inn.

In terms of other ideas for spending your day, I would highly recommend the newly re-imagined Disney Springs. With world-class shopping, dining and entertainment, you are sure to find plenty of things to do. One of my favorite new restaurants there is Morimoto Asia. The atmosphere is stunning and the food is absolutely delicious.

I hope you have a magical visit!
