My wife and I are coming to Disney for our first time with 6/30 thru 7/9 with our two young children. We are not hitting the water parks this time. But any does and don'ts we should be aware of, espically since it is the begining of summer?

    Hi James,

Are you ready for the HEAT??  If your answer is no, then you need to prepare yourself!  I hope I didn't scare you because I LOVE visiting Walt Disney World during the hot, summer months!  Actually we will be visiting later this month.

We travel with a 4 year-old and an 18 month-old.  During the summer months, we always visit the Theme Parks early in the morning at opening.  We usually leave around noon to go back to our resort to swim and nap since mid-day is usually the hottest time of the day.  We return to the theme parks later in the evening.  Make sure your family stays hydrated by drinking a ton of water!  And most of all - TAKE IT EASY AND SMELL THE POPCORN!  No, you will not get to experience everything that Disney has to offer but there's always your next vacation.

    Have a magical day!
