Ahoy, Christopher! I'm happy to welcome you to planDisney and chat about your upcoming cruise.
How exciting that you'll be setting sail on the
Disney Magic in January! My family and I are about to board the Disney Dream in a few weeks and I can barely contain my excitement. With so much to see and do onboard,
Disney Cruise Line quickly became one of our favorite vacation options.
Now, Christopher, another reason I love Disney Cruise Line is that the dining options are second to none and this includes options for
guests with dietary restrictions. My Mom is also gluten-free, so I understand the need to pre-plan and consider foods in advance.
My first recommendation is to note your wife's dietary needs on your reservation. You can do this through the Disney Cruise Line website. Once you have logged in, hover over the words "Already Booked" at the top of your screen and click on "My Reservations." From there, scroll down and click on "Special Requests." This takes you to a screen with an option to indicate dietary needs. From there you can choose gluten-free. With this notation added to your reservation, dining at
Animator's Palate,
Rapunzel's Royal Table, and
Lumiere's should be a bit easier. When selecting food from Quick-service spots near the pool or at Cabanas, I encourage you or your wife to check with one of the Cast Members.
Christopher, I hope this helps as you're looking ahead to 2024. In my experience, Disney does a fabulous job of helping all guests navigate dining with specific needs and I'll be wishing on a star that you have the same great experience.
If you have any other questions, please come on back to planDisney!
