My wife and I are celebrating our 10-year anniversary night by dining at Palo. I was wondering if there are any special arrangements I can make to be sure we have an ocean-view (window) table, and if they have anything special for an annivesary couples.

Happy Anniversary! Sailing aboard DCL is a wonder way to celebrate your special occasion.

For dinner at Palo, I would suggest booking the first seating of the evening and arriving a few minutes early to request a window seat.

Here’s a few things to consider however. One, if it is night time and the ship is at sea, there is nothing to see. Two, it can sometimes feel more private being seated away from the window as people walk by the window in their swim attire which takes away from the romantic, exclusive feel of Palo. I have been seated by a window with my husband for our anniversary as well as in the center of the restaurant. I would not be disappointed with either table.

Have your anniversary noted on your cruise reservation as well as all dining reservations such as dinner or brunch at Palo. Also mention it to your servers. Magical surprises are not guaranteed but sometimes include a cake, a singing server or special dessert.

In addition, consider a stateroom celebration! I highly recommend ordering some chocolate covered strawberries and champagne to be waiting in your stateroom.
