Hi, My wife and I are celebrating our anniversary 5-19-09 we will be with kids 9,6.We are staying at the CBR.We are looking for a casual place to eat with the kids followed by a fireworks show and what would be the best time to do both thanks!

    John:

    Congratulations on your upcoming Anniversary!

For casual dining and fireworks, I'd recommend 'Ohana's! Although it is table service, it certainly isn't stuffy. In fact, the name means 'family.'

The open kitchen and children's games like limbo make it a family favorite. Plus, if you plan on eating at 8 or 8:30, you might be in the restaurant when they dim the lights and pipe in the music for the fireworks outside your window. My advice: ask for a window table when you check in with the hostess. It's not guaranteed, but you never know when some pixie dust may come your way if you're wearing your Anniversay button (did I mention getting one from guest services at your resort or the parks?)

If you can't get a reservation that puts you in the restaurant for the fireworks, you can always catch them down on the pier where they play the choreographed music over the loud speakers. Plus, you'll get to take in the water pageant of lit floats!

Wishing you a magical vacation--and anniversary!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
