My wife and I are going to be celebrating our 35th Anniversary coming up in March, and I was hoping to get tickets for the Keys to the Kingdom tour. I tried online, but I cannot- even though the days are available. We will be in Disney 3/8-3/14

Hi Aaron, and welcome to planDisney! We’re so glad you dropped by with your question. Congratulations on your upcoming anniversary! Walt Disney World Resort will be such a magical place to celebrate your special occasion!

I can understand why you would choose the Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour. It’s very popular and gives you a behind-the-scenes peek at Magic Kingdom Park, while also diving into the fascinating history of the theme park. I just took a look at the dates of your visit, and unfortunately, it does look like the tours are fully booked during that timeframe. Because of the popularity of the tour and its limited spaces, it often books quickly right at the 60-day mark when reservations open, especially during busier times of the year. With Easter and spring break around that time, March can be a popular month to visit. However, it is possible that cancellations will occur, so I encourage you to keep checking back. You may even see some last-minute cancellations up to 24 hours prior since reservations can be cancelled up to that point for a full refund.

Aaron, I know this isn’t the news you were hoping for, but have you taken a look at other options in Disney’s Enchanting Extras Collection? There are a number of wonderful tours that you and your wife are sure to enjoy. A few to consider are the Wild Africa Trek and Savor the Savanna at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park and Behind the Seeds at EPCOT. For something a little different but truly magical, the fireworks cruises are one of my favorite options in the Enchanting Extras and would be a really special treat for your anniversary. This would give you a private watercraft to see the fireworks with an amazing view!

While I wish I could give you more pixie-dusted news about the Keys to the Kingdom Tour, I hope this helps point you toward some exciting alternatives as you celebrate the 35th anniversary of your happily ever after! If you have any more questions, don’t hesitate to send them my way. I’m here to help you plan a visit that is “practically perfect in every way!”
