Hi Tyler,
Welcome to planDisney!
I am delighted to see that you are planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! I am so sorry to hear of your wife's injury. The good news is that the Walt Disney World Resort has great
Services for Guests with Disabilities. One of these services includes
Disability Access Service (DAS) which supports Guests who cannot tolerate the traditional queue. Once you arrive to a theme park, stop by Guest Relations to speak with a Cast Member to determine if this service is best suited for your wife's needs.
When we have used this service in the past, here is how it worked. One member of the party was assigned the Disability Access Service. The rest of the party was linked to the Disability Access Service connected with that family member. One of us approached a Cast Member at the entrance to an attraction to request a return time for a ride. Although either of us could request the return time, when we returned, the person to whom the Disability Access Service was assigned had to check-in for the attraction first. Then the rest of the party could scan in for the attraction.
We always head to get a return time when we first enter a theme park. Then, we will ride other attractions with more manageable wait times. When it is time to return, we head back. Know that you can only have one return time at a time. And our return times have generally corresponded to the wait time of the attraction. So, if the wait time is an hour, our time to return is usually about an hour after we request the return time.
Given your arrival date, I do hope you have secured
advanced dining reservations. The wait for a table could be challenging for your wife. On our last visit, we used
Mobile Dine Check-in to check-in while walking to restaurants and never had to wait more than 10 minutes for our table once we arrived at the restaurant. Also take advantage of
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering to reduce your wait time for meals!
Tyler, thanks again for dropping by with a great question. Get ready to pack and be sure to check out our

Magic and memories,
Donyell
