My Wife and I booked a reservation and purchased the 3 day park hooper plus Tickets. We do not understand the reservation rules. Are the tickets we purchased date tickets and do we need to make reservations for the theme

    Hi there, Donald!

I love that you share a name with the most dapper Disney duck I know. He's definitely #1 in my book  - my autograph book!

I'm so excited to hear you have a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation right around the corner! It sounds like you're all set for an awesome visit with your 3-day Park Hopper Plus Tickets. Date-based theme park tickets now come with a sprinkle of extra magic: you don't need to make additional theme park reservations. When you purchase a date-based ticket, you simply select a start date, and that's all the planning needed for entry. Whether you have a one-day ticket, a multi-day ticket, or even a Walt Disney World Resort vacation package, your theme park access is assured from the get-go.

For date-based tickets, no reservations are needed for:

    Single-day date-based tickets
    Multi-day date-based tickets
    Vacation packages including date-based tickets
    The 4-Park Magic Ticket
    The 3-Day, 3-Park Ticket
However, other ticket types might still require a theme park reservation. This includes:

    Tickets for student groups
Tickets for sports events and conventions
The Florida Resident Discover Disney Ticket
    The Disney Military Salute Ticket
    Annual Passes
Any other ticket types not explicitly listed as reservation-free

So, if you're set with a date-based ticket, your path to the magic is clear. For other ticket types, a quick check to see if reservations are needed will ensure your adventure is smooth sailing.

With your Park Hopper tickets, you and your wife have the freedom to hop between the theme parks on the same day, from the moment the parks open until the final fireworks fade into the night. Whether you're starting your day with the enchantment of Magic Kingdom Park or exploring the global wonders of EPCOT, the choice is yours, and no further reservations are needed for park entry. Just a spoonful of planning helps the magic go 'round, so it's wise to keep an eye on the My Disney Experience Mobile App. This handy companion is like having your own fairy godmother in your pocket, offering real-time updates on park hours, wait times for attractions, and much more.

I hope this helps with your plans and preparations for your upcoming trip. Let us know if you have any more questions before the magic begins!
