Verity from Monmouthshire Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

My wife has booked the holiday and didn't mention it was to celebrate her 50th birthday. Is there a possibility to have a room upgrade for this or something else? We are from the UK so I don't know what could be arranged for her.

Hello Verity and thank you for asking the Disney Parks Moms Panel such a fun question.
Surely there can be no better place than Walt Disney World Resort to celebrate such a special milestone birthday; I'm so excited for you both!
I agree it is a good idea to add any celebrations to your Disney Resort reservation and I'm quite sure you could still do this by speaking with a Cast Member in Disney Resort Reservations by dialling the UK freephone telephone number contained within this Walt Disney World Phone Directory link.
Why not take a peek at this Customise Your Special Occasion page where I know you'll discover some wonderful birthday enhancements and magical ideas like those from Disney Floral and Gifts ~ Birthday or perhaps really treat your beloved by indulging in a decadent meal by making an Advanced Dining Reservation for the elegant Victoria & Albert's
If I can help sprinkle any extra pixie dust onto your holiday plans to visit Walt Disney World Resort please pop back to ask me another question.
    Have a great Disney day.
    ~ Jane
