My wife and I are booked for a 4 day adventure on the Disney Dream in May. Both my wife and I are simple Steak and Potato type eaters. Is it possible to simplify our dinner choises off the printed menus for diner which seem quite fancy.

    Hi, David!

Congratulations on your upcoming cruise aboard the new Disney Dream -- she is a stylish and oh-so spectacular ship, and I can't wait for you to have your turn to sail!

I recently sailed on the Disney Dream with a myriad of diners making some really unusual requests at dinner each evening: vegan, nut allergies, lactose intolerance and yes, a meat and potato-type, too!  (I learned that my palate is a chef's dream...I can and will eat anything they put in front of me!)

For the meat and potato eater (my daughter), she and the server "worked" through the menu each night to come up with exactly what she would be most happy eating.  Some evenings, it was as simple as leaving off the sauce, and then once, she was content with a steak from one choice and the potatoes from another.  No problem. During the day, she was quite content because she would make her choices from Cabanas (the buffet) or the quick-service meals served near the pool area on Deck 11.

I think you are going to be pleasantly surprised with your food choices -- so I'm going to challenge you to step out and try new things.  What do you have to lose?  You can always order something different.  Yet, you may grow accustomed to the legendary service of the Disney Dream's cast and crew.  Try not to get too spoiled...you'll have to wake up from your Dream eventually! :)

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
