Hi, My wife and I are going to begin planning a trip to wdw. Either staying at yacht or beach club, what is the best time of year to go where it is not too hot but warm enough to swim and the crowd is lower then average? We are thinking feb but too cold?

    Hi Mark,

If you would enjoy average high temperatures in the low 70s and evening temperatures that dip down into the 40s, then February would be perfect for you and your wife.  February offers lower than average park attendance too so you'd wait less in line for attractions.

My advice, however, would be to visit the first or second weeks of March.  Since Easter doesn't arrive until March 31st this coming year, crowd levels will not reach their spring break peaks until later in the month.  However, the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival will be opening so you'll find no more beautiful time to visit Walt Disney World.  That's my family's very favorite time to vacation in Florida.  It's the perfect time to escape the long, cold northeastern winters.  We have taken advantage of the pools in March.  They are heated and the outdoor temperatures are warm enough for such activities.

Good luck with your planning!  I'm sure you'll enjoy Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts.  It's such a treat to be within walking distance of two of the Disney theme parks.

    Have fun!
