Hi, My wife and I are back to WDW for the first time in 28 years (our Honeymoon) this Sept.2014! I would like to know the best route from POFQ to the Boardwalk?

    Hey Edward!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom Panel! That is so exciting to be celebrating your return to the most Magical Place on Earth!

Traveling between resorts at Walt Disney World can a little tricky but definitely doable. Most trips between resorts require transferring to a different bus. The trip between Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter and Disney's Boardwalk Inn Resort is no exception. There a couple of ways to accomplish this:
    • Via Disney Bus Transportation you would take the first bus going to the Magic Kingdom then transfer to a bus heading to the Boardwalk. This trip will take about 50 minutes but you should allow for at least an one and a half to avoid any unforeseen delays.
    • The quickest way would be via taxi cab. Most cab rides within Disney property cost approx. $20 with tip. If you decide to take a cab the travel time would be approx. 10 minutes but again you should allow for at least twice that time.

If you are looking for some extra special ways to celebrate your anniversary consider ordering a custom cake by calling the Cake Hotline at (407) 827-2253 or by pre-ordering a surprise from the Disney Florist to be waiting in your room when you arrive.

I hope this helps your planning. If you have any other questions please come back and me.

Wishing you a magical second Disneymoon and a pixie-dusted day!
