Wife and I just got back from DW, stayed at the swan. Only thing that makes leaving DW a little less painful is planning a new DW vacation! We narrowed our next stay in oct '14 to 3 moderate resorts. POF, CBR, CSprings. what is the best one for 2 adults?

    Hi Mark,

I'm glad I'm not the only one who starts planning my next Walt Disney World visit the minute I get home! You always need something to look forward to, right?

I've never been disappointed with any Disney resort, but if I were to rank the three you mentioned for a stay with two adults, I would do it in this order:
    1. Port Orleans French Quarter
    2. Coronado Springs Resort
    3. Caribbean Beach Resort

My husband and I have chosen Port Orleans French Quarter several times for our anniversary getaway. It is the smallest Walt Disney World resort and has a intimate, quiet atmosphere. There's no table service restaurant, but it is within a short water taxi ride of Downtown Disney. And I love the beignets in the food court.

If you are looking for on-site entertainment, you can check out Scat Cat's Club or Mardi Grogs lounges. . From Port Orleans French Quarter, you also can easily stroll to Port Orleans Riverside to take advantage of its food court, Boatwrights Dining Hall or the River Roost Lounge.

Coronado Springs, perhaps because it is a convention resort, also has something of an adult feel. The resort has three lounges -- including Rix, one of the most upscale lounges at Walt Disney World -- plus three quick service food options and the Maya Grill.

Caribbean Beach is my least favorite of the moderate resorts, simply because it is large and spread out and transportation isn't as convenient as at the other two resorts you mentioned. I also think Caribbean Beach is more kid-oriented.

Again, those are my thoughts. I'm sure you will have a lovely getaway visit no matter what you choose.

Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you as you make your plans. I'm happy to offer my opinions.

Enjoy the next few months as you dream of your next Disney vacation.
