Welcome to planDisney, David!
I see you’re planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort this October, and that is a
spook-tacular time to visit! Magic Kingdom Park is usually decked out in Mickey pumpkins for Halloween, the
Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is usually in full swing, and fall décor and treats can be found all around the theme parks, resorts, and Disney Springs. And for 2021, it’s an extra-special time, because
The World’s Most Magical Celebration, in honor of the Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th anniversary, kicks off October 1. Whew, that’s a LOT of magic!
Some experiences and offerings are on pause right now as part of the
phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort, and, unfortunately, that includes sales of new annual passes. Like you, my Annual Pass expired before the theme parks shut down last spring, and I’m eagerly awaiting an announcement about the return of the
Annual Passholder program. At this time, we just don’t know if or when that might be. I would recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest news and updates.
You might also want to call the V.I.PASSHOLDER phone line at (407) WDW-PASS to see if you have any options. As Cast Members inside the magic, they understand their policies better than I do, and I want to ensure you get the right information.
If you’re not able to renew your expired annual passes, please check the
Special Offers page to see the latest deals and discounts. In case you haven’t heard, Guests must have
Disney Park Pass reservations for each day they plan to visit a theme park, so I recommend purchasing your tickets and making your reservations as soon as you can. I think October might be busy with all the celebrations, and I want to make sure you have your plans in place to enjoy it all!
Thank you for stopping by planDisney. Please come back and see us if we can help as you plan and dream.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
