I am a widowed Mom going on a Disney cruise April 2024 with my 8yr old daughter. I am using her birth certificate as her travel ID. Will I also need her father’s death certificate as I am taking her out of the country? Thank you.

Welcome to planDisney, Marcella!  First, I am sorry for your loss.  I am happy to help you with your question.

Because you are her parent, you do not need any other documents to go on this magical vacation with your daughter.  She will only need her state-issued birth certificate

She may enjoy going to the Disney Oceaneer Club.  It is open for Guests ages 3 to 10 years of age.  She will have the chance to participate in games, do arts and crafts, and train to be a super hero.  It's a great way for her to meet others her age (and maybe you get some time to go to Senses Spa & Salon or do something else for yourself if you like).  When my son first went to the Disney Oceaneer Club, I would go to Open House with him on embarkation day so he could get familiar with the area.   The Open House times, as well as the hours of operation for Disney Oceaneer Club, will be listed in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.  Be sure to download it before you step on board.

I hope you two have the best trip ever.  If you think of any other questions, sail back to planDisney.  My pals and I are happy to help.

    Bon Voyage!
